Powerful Prayer

O ST. JOSEPH, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, assist me by thy powerful intercession and obtain for me all spiritual blessings through thy foster Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may offer thee my thanksgiving and homage.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee and Jesus asleep in thine arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.

St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for me.

THIS PRAYER WAS FOUND IN THE 5OTH YEAR OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. IN 1505 IT WAS SENT FROM THE POPE TO EMPEROR CHARLES WHEN HE WAS GOING INTO BATTLE. WHOEVER SHALL READ THIS PRAYER OR HEAR IT OR KEEP IT ABOUT THEMSELVES SHALL NEVER DIE A SUDDEN DEATH OR BE DROWNED, NOR SHALL POISON TAKE EFFECT ON THEM---- NEITHER SHALL THEY FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE ENEMY OR BE BURNED IN ANY FIRE OR BE OVERPOWERED IN BATTLE. SAY FOR NINE MORNINGS FOR ANYTHING YOU DESIRE. IT HAS NEVER BEEN KNOWN TO FAIL, PROVIDED THAT THE REQUEST IS FOR ONE'S SPIRITUAL BENEFIT OR FOR THOSE WHOM WE ARE PRAYING FOR.

WE PUBLISHED THE ABOVE CLAIM WHICH USUALLY ACCOMPANIES THE PRINTED PRAYER, ALTHOUGH WE DO NOT KNOW OF ITS AUTHORITATIVE SOURCE.

why shd anyone pray to anyone but jesus?

jesus said "i am the truth, the way and the life no one comes to the father except by me". ma'am sorry to express this but this is just like chain letters that promise protection and money if u do it for 9 days. parang it's not biblical po.

@Margaux - how about a little tolerance which Jesus preached? After all, those who have these beliefs do not harm anyone more than they do good to others. They aren't blowing up planes and smashing buildings. In fact, they help people.

If the bible tells everyone to pray for each other (that's Biblical okie?) and if we believe (also biblical) that the saints are those who are saved by grace, then I think there is validity in asking a saint to pray for you. The bible says "pray ye one for another". I am quite sure that Joseph was a saint too like those who believe in Jesus. Saints are as alive as you and I , aren't they? Thus, intercessory prayer (biblical too) is ergo "for all saints". Okie? :)

blogsurdities have a point that lahat tayo saved by jesus are saints. joseph was a saint and they are living in heaven but they are no longer in the world. i am confused because isn't it also a teaching that we must not be talking with the dead? pls don't misinterpret blogsurdities because i am a regular reader of ur blog and u are right that at least naman, they do good and not bomb buildings and kill people and opress woman as in the videos in ur site. akin lang, i am confused.

-blugsurdities, I read your blog and usually it makes me laugh and I love your videos. I just am wondering about the point you made because yes saints are all living but may punto rin na we should not be talking to the dead. How do you reconcile this with the mistake of King Saul nung he tried to call the prophet Daniel and God took away his kingdom?

ps pa @ blugsurdities, As I said I read your blog and I hope you have an open discussion about things like this pero I am with you all the way todo pa sa videos and exposing the evils that are going on in the name of religion and the happenings in the world. Most of all, I love your ebay video, so I hope you don't get disturbed by my comment. Peace.
